Founded in 1980 by the late Eugene C. Ralston, Ralston Supply Center, Inc. grew out of the need for local charitable organizations to work with a local supplier for bingo and games of chance supplies and equipment.
In time, the small family-owned business expanded to service 30-50 local charities, including American Legions, VFW's, churches, fire departments and a host of other non-profit organizations.
Gene had other visions for the future of the company. He saw the potential to supply just about anything in a wholesale or service fashion.
In 1989, Gene was diagnosed with cancer and later passed away in 1992 leaving the business to his wife, Joyce. Gene's son, Tom, continues the day-to-day operations of the company and shares his dad's vision.
Tom expanded into other areas, including corporate entertainment and event planning. Soon, these areas became an integral part of growth for the company.
With the increasing popularity of casinos in New York, Ralston Supply Center, Inc. now carries a full line of home casino supplies and equipment, including poker tables, chips, cards, dice and arcade-style slot machines.
Throughout the years, Tom expanded into the party rental business, renting tents and canopies, tables, chairs and various party equipment for graduations, family reunions, corporate events and other special occasions. With the addition of the party rental line, Ralston Supply Center, Inc. is positioning itself to become a full-line rental store servicing a 50 mile radius in and around the Canastota area.
